About fifteen years ago, the idea first sparked when we implemented one of the earliest SMS/email reminder platforms in our founder's pediatric dental group. Over the years, our Founder grew increasingly frustrated with the software’s rigidity and lack of customization. And in general, with most dental softwares. This experience planted a seed within us—a belief that someday, someone needed to create something better. By 2017, as our Founder's group scaled, everything began to fall apart. Staffing and training challenges in Miami only made things worse. As owners of a pediatric dental group, we felt disheartened. Seven years had gone by, and there was still little innovation to address the issues we faced.
During the same period (2010-2017), our founder observed the incredible creativity and innovation coming out of Silicon Valley, where engineers were building groundbreaking platforms and applications. He decided to invest in many of these ventures. But the question remained: why was dental software 10-20 years behind? While small businesses and large corporations were benefiting from cutting-edge platforms and streamlining their processes, the dental industry lagged behind.
A realization dawned. We engaged with numerous dentists and discovered how poorly data flows within their software and applications, with little to no intelligent processing. There were countless practice management systems and web applications—banks, insurance carriers, social media, recall platforms, QuickBooks, analytics, and more—all operating in silos.
